Founded in 1920, the NFL developed the model for the successful modern sports league, including national and international distribution, extensive revenue sharing, competitive excellence, and strong franchises across the board. Headquartered in New York City, the NFL expands across the nation and the globe with the offices including NFL Media based in Inglewood, CA and the NFL Films office based in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The CFL is a proudly Canadian professional football league played in nine major cities across the country. Its teams are deeply rooted within the communities in which they play, and the entire CFL prides itself on being the most accessible professional sports league in North America. In 2012, the CFL celebrated the 100th playing of the Grey Cup, its championship game and Canada’s largest single day sporting event, with thousands attending in person and millions more watching on TV each year. The CFL is steeped in tradition, uniquely Canadian and built for the future. In 2013, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers opened a brand new state-of-the-art stadium, while in 2014, new stadiums will open in Hamilton and Ottawa, as the league expands to nine teams and CFL football returns to the nation’s capital. The 2014 season also kicks off the first year of a comprehensive broadcast deal with TSN and RDS that will transform the economics of the league and its teams. NFL Alumni is comprised of two distinct non-profit membership organizations, the NFL Alumni Association and NFL Alumni Foundation. The NFL Alumni serves its retired player members and their families through the NFL Alumni Association and supports youth and community charities through NFL Alumni Foundation. NFLA is a 501(c)(5) organization that serves as a passionate advocate for greater quality of life benefits for all former NFL players. The Association eagerly pursues greater benefits and the implementation of programmatic services devoted to enhancing the health, productive acuity of retired NFL players and their families. NFL Alumni Foundation is a 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization composed of former professional football players, owners, coaches, administrators, cheerleaders and associates who have joined together to support youth charities. In their voluntary undertakings, members of the NFL Alumni are guided philosophically by the fundamental ideals expressed in their motto: "Caring for Kids".
