Als netbeheerder werkt Fluvius in alle Vlaamse steden en gemeenten, met zo’n 6.000 collega’s. We beheren ongeveer 210.000 kilometer publieke nutsleidingen in de straat. Die brengen elektriciteit, aardgas, riolering en warmte tot bij onze klanten. Fluvius zorgt er ook voor dat klanten een aansluiting krijgen op die netten. Daarbovenop beheren we de lokale openbare verlichting (ongeveer 1,2 miljoen lichtpunten). Fluvius bouwt ook aan de netwerken voor morgen. We ondersteunen Vlaanderen bij de energietransitie en de klimaatadaptatie. ◾ We versterken en vernieuwen de elektriciteitsnetten, zodat ze klaar zijn voor de stijgende vraag naar elektriciteit en de toenemende instroom van groene energie. ◾ We digitaliseren de elektriciteitsnetten, want efficiënt omgaan met energie moet voor iedereen mogelijk zijn. Daarvoor is de digitale meter een onmisbaar hulpmiddel. ◾ We houden een vinger aan de pols en introduceren nieuwe technieken op het vlak van elektriciteit en riolering. ◾ We werken intensief samen met overheden, bedrijven en burgers.
