XChangeIT (XIT) is a consortium comprised of Australia’s leading magazine distributors. It provides an electronic trading platform for newsagents and distributors to share delivery, sales and returns data and information. The XIT system connects independent newsagents with the product suppliers, via their PC-POS systems. The software application resides in-store interfacing a variety of POS Systems with a central server. XchangeIT simplifies core business transactions in the supply chain, and provides statistically reliable data for distributors to make crucial business decisions. XIT uses the following data elements: • Delivery Data – from distributor to the retailer • Scanned Sales Data – from the retailer to the distributor • Returns Data – from the retailer to the distributor. The XIT system is currently subscribed to by over 2,370 newsagent retailers.
