Xavveo GmbH is a Berlin-based deep-tech company developing a new generation of sensor systems, based on distributed photonic chip communication in combination with physical AI, for defence, security and autonomy. Xavveo starts with its first product: a radar built from ultra-compact modules, as small as 1 cm², linked by optical fibre to operate as one coherent sensor with up to 360° coverage. The result is ten times the angular resolution of comparable systems in its class: drones flying close together are detected, classified and tracked as separate targets rather than as one. That precision identifies what is approaching and from where — in rain, fog, dust and darkness, where optical sensors and lidar fail. This leads to an unparalleled reduction in false alarm rates. Founded in 2023, Xavveo designs its own photonic-electronic chips and is vertically integrated from integrated circuit to complete system. Applications include drone detection and counter-UAS (C-UAS), critical infrastructure protection, perimeter surveillance and situational awareness, and autonomy.
