After running a business in the precious metals industry, three friends from Stockholm discovered the market potential for men’s jewelry whilst travelling the world. Soon after X Design Sweden was born. They had seen how men outside of Scandinavia had started to embrace jewelry and in 2013 X Design Sweden launched its first line with three distinct collections. The close relationship between its founders is expressed in the individuality of their collaborative designs. Starting small, the founders received their first customer by walking into a store in Stockholm and opening their bag of worn jewelry on the counter. The celebratory bottle of champagne cost more than the order. Six months after this humble beginning, X Design Sweden was stocked nationwide and quickly expanding into the rest of the Nordic market. They were met with fascination at the trade shows: X Design Sweden’s innovative perspective on men’s jewelry stood out from the crowd. After expanding their product range X Design Sweden had Europe’s largest range of male jewelry. Fashion had changed; more men were seen wearing jewelry than not. Classic, yet refreshingly modern, X Design Sweden’s pieces can be effortlessly incorporated into any wardrobe. Philanthropy is at the core of X Design Sweden. With a desire to give back it was only natural for the brand to launch its very first jewelry line as part of charity event raising money for SOS Children’s Villages. X Design Sweden participated in this event, which featured performances by top Swedish artists, with a sale of their products. The money raised went directly to help orphans in West Africa. Inspired by their diverse characters and backgrounds, each founder brings a unique perspective to the brand’s seasonal collections. The collaborative process contributes to the diversity of the collections and the dynamism of the pieces themselves.
