Wye School Information

ME to WE is an organization dedicated to encouraging others to make impacts that bring about change for those in need. At the beginning of the school year, Wye developed a new student leadership group, caled Wye WE Act. This team has come together, dedicated, to making local and global acts of service. As a global act, the team will be taking orders for Rafiki and Minga bracelets, through the ME to WE organization. In Kenya, Rafiki means friends and the bracelets are made of beads and elastic. They can be worn as bracelets, necklaces, anklets and even headbands. In Ecuador, Minga in a call to action, and these bracelets are made of a traditional braided wax cord. These bracelets are made by mommas in Kenya and Ecuador, and $5.00 from each one sold is given to a pillar chosen by our team. This year, the student team has chosen for the proceeds to be put towards the WE Opportunity Pillar. The money raised will help communities around the world develop income generating projects to build sustainability. This is not a fundraiser for the school, and Wye will not be receiving any monies from the sales of the bracelets. It will take approximately 2 weeks to receive the bracelets once the orders close.
