We are all about Jesus and the message of the Gospel. The gospel is about Jesus and Jesus is about the gospel. The gospel is the power of God for salvation (Rom. 1:16) as well as God’s power to transform us into the image of Jesus (2 Peter 1:3-4). This means our new life as a Christian not only starts with the Gospel, but it also grows & mature through the Gospel. The gospel initiates & sustains us from beginning to end. This is crucial to understand. Many think the gospel is just involved in “getting people saved,” but the gospel is much bigger than that. It’s rescues us, then goes on to perfect us. Hence, we believe the gospel is the most transforming power on planet earth. Jesus went to the cross for it, and we’re giving our lives away because of it.
We want to see God at work globally and locally. We have a passion to impact the world through Vancouver and in Vancouver. This is what the Great Commission is about (Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8). In the end, our mission is to introduce people to the God of salvation by teaching, preaching and demonstrating His love through His empowering grace. Towards this end, God calls us to be innovative and creative in reaching our generation.
Ignite Dryden Youth Ministries is the youth group of Dryden Full Gospel Church. Our focus is on Igniting a passion for Christ and seeing that passion shine bright for others. We strive to help youth be a light to the world, and a city on a hill top. We are here for the purpose of showing our youth, as they experience life adventures and trials, how God is working in their life! It is our goal to lead the next generation in the way of Christ and act as a light to others, sharing his love and word!
Our mission, as a parish, is "to glorify Jesus Christ by joyfully proclaiming ancient faith for today's world. This faith is not just a set of beliefs; it is a way of life anchored in the gospel and rooted in the experience of God's people down through the millennia. It is an ancient and living way embodied in the Anglican Tradition. Our parish has been a fixture in Abbotsford since 1900 and it has been our privilege over the years to minister alongside diverse churches throughout the Fraser Valley and to grow together with our wider community. In 2008 Saint Matthew's joined the Anglican Network in Canada, which is a diocese within the larger Anglican Church in North America. This move was born of a growing disharmony within the Anglican Communion regarding the nature of the Gospel and the authority of Scripture. Our stand eventually cost us our building, and in 2010 we entrusted ourselves to God and moved to our present location at Grace Church. It is our continued prayer that God will renew his Church and that the glory and grace of God revealed in Jesus will be known by all. Our Mission
