WritingWorkshops.com is an independent creative writing school and the official education partner of Electric Literature. Since 2016, we've helped more than 30,000 writers develop their craft through live online workshops, asynchronous courses, one-on-one mentorships, destination writing retreats, and our IndieMFA program — a structured alternative to the traditional MFA. Our faculty of 100+ published authors and experienced teachers includes National Book Award Finalists, Pulitzer Finalists, NYT Bestsellers, and contributors to The New York Times, The New Yorker, Best American series, and major publishing houses. We believe that learning to write well — with precision, honesty, and imagination — is one of the most valuable things a person can do, and that the workshop model works best when it's accessible, rigorous, and built around genuine literary community. We're based in Dallas, Texas, and our classrooms are everywhere: Zoom screens across six continents, cafés in Paris, hotel writing rooms in Portland, and the quiet hours before the rest of the house wakes up. If you're serious about your writing, we'd love to work with you.
