Your legacy goes beyond your financial endowment. It includes the way you look at life, your sense of humor, values, how you were shaped by the times you’ve lived through, and the wisdom those experiences can teach. A memoir, biography, or autobiography allows you to pass it all down to future generations. Since 2001, we have been helping clients tell the stories of their lives and legacies. Kathy Evans begins the process with a series of informal interviews in your home or office (or currently, via video conferencing) that take place over a period of months or years. Kathy guides the conversation with questions to help you remember the details that make up the fabric of your story. Based on the interviews, a team of transcriptionists, writers, and editors help shape a manuscript. Throughout the process, we add family history and historical context to set the narrative in its time. We scan photographs, war medals, quilt sections, love letters, samples of wallpaper from a childhood home—whatever best illustrates your story. You will receive regular drafts of your manuscript throughout the process, so you can correct the details, make additions or deletions, and see the value of your investment along the way. Once the story is complete, the book goes into proofreading, then book design. You’ll review the book and give final approval, one last time, before printing and binding. Every step of the process, from the binding of the book to the number of copies printed, is tailored to your vision. You are the author of this experience and this story.
