We continue to find ways that local writers can interact with other arts and community organizations: Write Action recently joined the Brattleboro area's new Alliance For The Arts, to help promote the literary arts in Windham County; an annual writers' contest, in collaboration with the Brattleboro Reformer, was started in 2005. The first contest's theme was "Life in Windham County". The Brattleboro Reformer, the town's daily newspaper, published the winning stories on consecutive weeks, and a handsome booklet was made of the winners' and finalists' pieces. The theme for this year's contest is "Winter". This web site is Write Action's most recent project aimed at bettering communication and gaining greater visibility for the Brattleboro area writing community. In the future, this web site will feature links to WA subscriber web sites.
