From it’s founding in 1950 as World Wide Supply, World Wide Fittings has grown into a global manufacturer of steel and stainless hydraulic tube and pipe fittings. Initially World Wide built it’s reputation as a supplier of cold formed hydraulic tube nuts & sleeves as well as SAE O ring boss plugs which are produced on conventional screw machines. Having captured the majority of the market in the USA for these products World Wide began it’s overseas expansion in 1998 with the opening of our European stocking facility and technical center in Birmingham, England and follow that with the establishment of two manufacturing facilities in China in 2003-2004. Actual ownership of our manufacturing facilities in China is an important distinction versus many of our competitors. These two overseas manufacturing facilities and the relocation to Vernon Hills, IL of our headquarters and domestic manufacturing plant to a new 110,000 square foot facility in early 2015, allows us to continually support the growth of World Wide Fittings and the expansion of our product line of steel and stainless hydraulic fittings. In order to meet the resulting increase in business World Wide opened distribution warehouses throughout the USA and will continue to add distribution facilities to meet the logistic demands of our OEM and Distribution customers. Currently World Wide has branch locations in Florida, Nevada, Texas, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. Operating now from nine facilities on three continents allows World Wide to offer a consistent, high quality product to customers around the globe. Our in house test capabilities which include burst, impulse, salt spray, and cleanliness combined with our strong commitment to and involvement with the SAE committee that sets fitting standards help to illustrate our ability to be your Single Quality Source.
