Since 2012, World View has led the way in remote sensing and Earth observation from stratospheric high-altitude platforms (HAPs), with demonstrated accomplishments for a variety of scientific, commercial and government organizations. Our proprietary stratospheric balloon flight technology delivers better insights with far lower costs and lead times than satellites and other traditional aerial sources. World View’s remotely-navigated Stratollite® flies five times closer to Earth than a satellite, capturing high-resolution imagery with much greater detail. And since it can persist over an area for weeks at a time, it provides a clearer picture of changes on the ground than a satellite that only flies over the area at the same time every day. Our high-resolution electro-optical, infrared, radar, hyperspectral, radio relay, and other remote sensing capabilities can deliver a wealth of insights across a range of applications.
