Since 1984 World Thrust has been helping local churches make a more personal, powerful, strategic impact in fulfilling Christ's Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations". We are not a 'Sending " agency for full time missionaries like Wycliffe Bible Translators or New Tribes (though we do work with these and other effective missions agencies). Nor are we a funding channel for mission agencies (though we do help churches develop their own strategies for giving to world missions). We are a "catalyst" ministry working to help pastors and lay leaders help their own churches understand, connect with, and participate in what God is doing around the world. We do this by building bridges: information bridges, communication bridges and transportation bridges.
