Founded in 1951, World Physiotherapy is the international voice for physiotherapy. Today, it represents more than 600,000 physiotherapists through its 128 member organisations. On behalf of its members, World Physiotherapy undertakes a range of projects and supports international campaigns to promote the physiotherapy profession and its contribution to global health. It encourages high standards of physiotherapy research, education and practice. Every two years World Physiotherapy hosts the profession's largest international scientific congress showcasing the latest advancements in physiotherapy.
