World NGO Day Information

Back in 2014, the 27th of February became a historic day for the NGO (non-profit) community across the globe. We dreamed big and we achieved it! The only decentralized international day for NGOs, “World NGO Day - 27th February”, was inaugurated. Throughout the years, millions of people have been active on World NGO Day in more than 89 countries and 6 continents. To date, it’s the only decentralized international day that celebrates the work of over 10 million NGOs (non-profit) worldwide! This represents more than 50 million people who work for the global non-profit sector as well as all the volunteers and philanthropists who are the backbone of our global community. “Around the world, non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) are at the forefront supporting those who are most in need.
