Working Fields Information

Working Fields is a staffing agency that provides job opportunities and peer support to anyone seeking work. Our unique model removes barriers to employment for jobseekers and employers alike across Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine. Born from our founder’s lived experience in recovery, incarceration, and socially responsible business, our mission-driven approach promotes inclusive hiring practices and long-term retention. A Vermont Benefit Corporation, Working Fields began at a dining room table in Burlington in 2017 with just one person. Now, we operate in Vermont, southern New Hampshire, western Massachusetts, and southern Maine. Our team has 11 full-time staff and 15-20 part-time peer coaches. At any given time, we support approximately 90 people on active job placements and 25 seeking work. Since 2017, we have worked with more than 3000 jobseekers, 400 community partners, and 125 employers across 20+ industries.
