Given the amazing technology that exists today, it just didn’t make sense that real-time and trustworthy sourcing of work and workers was so far off the mark. And thus the idea was born. As the team set out building Workables (formerly known as Turbo140 during beta), our mission is to bring liquidity and transparency to ghastly inefficient markets. The result is a real-time marketplace for one-time jobs and micro-tasks that are completed locally, virtually, and sometimes both.
