Woodswallow Information

WoodSwallow was a technology company specialising in the design and development of embedded systems and IoT products, with particular expertise in smart energy, smart metering, electric mobility and telecommunications. Founded in Seville in 2017, WoodSwallow grew into an international technology business delivering complex hardware and embedded software projects for multinational clients. Over seven years, the team contributed to the development of more than 20 IoT products, with approximately 90% of projects delivered internationally. Products developed with WoodSwallow's involvement have been deployed in more than 10 million devices worldwide. WoodSwallow's capabilities covered the full product lifecycle, including product definition, hardware and embedded software design, development, testing, certification, new product introduction, support and maintenance. The company also supported the development of the technology ecosystem in Seville, including the creation of the Internet of Things Chair in collaboration with the University of Seville. In 2024, WoodSwallow was acquired by EDMI, a global provider of smart metering solutions, marking the successful conclusion of its seven-year journey as an independent technology company.
