Woodlands Strykers Baseball Club, Texas Collegiate League Information

The Texas Collegiate League exists to provide the best summer league experience for top professional prospects from colleges throughout the country. The league allows players with remaining eligibility to showcase and improve their skills in a wholesome, minor league-type atmosphere using wooden bats. The league is committed to providing quality, inexpensive entertainment in a small-town, intimate atmosphere that is distinctively Texan, while helping promote the game of baseball in the communities involved. The Woodlands Strykers joined the league in 2012 and have since had 10 former or current players selected into Major League Baseball. Since the TCL was established, more than 300 TCL players have been drafted by major league teams and no fewer than a dozen have played in the big leagues. Notable TCL alumni include: Hunter Pence - Houston Astros, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants Clay Buchholz - Boston Red Sox Chris Davis - Baltimore Orioles Adam Moore - Seattle Mariners Brandon Belt - San Francisco Giants Paul Goldschmidt - Arizona Diamondbacks Todd Cunningham - Atlanta Braves The Texas Collegiate League is comprised of six teams for collegiate athletes across the country who have NCAA eligibility remaining. Long Schedule: The league mimicks a minor-league experience that includes 60 games from late May to early August. Home Field: The Strykers play home games at The Woodlands Christian Academy, which has added VIP seating behind home plate and is located at 5800 Academy Way, The Woodlands, Texas.
