Women on Wings Information

Women on Wings sees a world where families living in rural India move out of poverty through economic development. Our goal: co-create one million jobs for women in rural India by 2030, in partnership with Indian social enterprises and women entrepreneurship programs. Alongside our core team in the Netherlands and India, our network of highly experienced professionals - volunteer experts - share their time and talent providing pro bono tailor-made business consulting and mentoring to Indian social entrepreneurs. By scaling these social enterprises, we co-create more sustainable jobs for rural women. On a much larger scale, we also provide consultancy to state government institutions on developing the business aspects of their women entrepreneurship programs. An income gives a woman a stronger social position. For her children, it means better nutrition and education which increases their chances of a better future. It is the way to break the cycle of poverty (World Bank).
