The Women On Boards Project (W Project) is a nonprofit working to increase the representation of women on boards of successful, privately-held consumer companies. We believe boards should reflect the consumers they serve — diverse boards deliver stronger performance, higher return on equity, and more resilient growth. Since 2020, we’ve helped place over 70 women on boards for companies including Simple Mills, Chomps, King Arthur Baking, Welch's, Honey Pot, Traditional Medicinals, Rowan, Fellow, Stone Brewing, Urban Remedy, and Good American. We partner with leading consumer investors such as VMG Partners, Gauge Capital, Siddhi Capital, and NextWorld Evergreen to accelerate board diversity and drive industry impact. Our mission is simple: close the demand gap for women on boards, provide pathways to leadership at the highest levels, and create boardrooms that reflect the consumers, communities, and stakeholders they serve.
