Women, Media and Change (WOMEC) is a Non Governmental Organisation established in 1994 and duly registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana in 2000. WOMEC recognises that women’s issues are multi-dimensional and are influenced by factors such as education, information and technology, health, environment, housing, land rights and human rights. WOMEC is committed to promoting visibility for women and girls in the public sphere through the effective use of the media. WOMEC provides the platform for advocacy for gender balance and the empowerment of women.
