Wolverine Plating Corporation (WPC) was founded in 1956 in Warren, MI, and relocated to its current facility in Roseville, MI, in 1968. The company underwent significant expansions in 2006 and 2007, increasing its footprint to 71,000 square feet, and recently completed an approximate 40,000 square foot addition in February 2021. This new space enhances WPC’s warehouse capabilities and accommodates the new advanced plating and robotic post – treatment equipment. Wolverine specializes in zinc and zinc-nickel barrel electroplating, with zinc-nickel introduced in 1995. The company operates seven plating lines: three for acid zinc, three for acid zinc-nickel, and one fully integrated alkaline zinc-nickel using the ZinKlad process. WPC runs 24 hours a day, five days a week, with additional weekend shifts as needed to meet customer demands. The company is renowned for its commitment to quality and on-time performance. Privately owned and now in its third generation, Wolverine Plating’s current owners have been with the company for over 35 years. With a workforce of nearly 60 employees, Wolverine considers everyone part of the family. The company also has an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), allowing employees to have an ownership stake in the business.
