Since its creation in 1902, Wolfberger has played a major role in the evolution of vineyards, tenaciously pursuing its quest for excellence and authenticity. The winery respects the precepts that were a guiding force in bringing together different winegrowers looking to produce, as one, quality wines. When in the Seventies the world of fine wine finally discovered the wealth of the Alsatian terroir and witnessed the creation of the Crémant d’Alsace (a sparkling wine), Wolfberger was already well-established in the area. Always on the cutting edge of technology, with a strong and visionary commercial development, Wolfberger quickly made its wines, crémants and Alsatian brandies famous in France and well beyond. International awards attest to the daily efforts of the Wolfberger teams. In the world of wine and crémant production, Wolfberger is the only French winery to have been certified ISO 22 000 and ISO 50 001. The year 1976 celebrated two events, the Appellation Crémant d’Alsace (the official recognition of the sparkling wine) and the brand Wolfberger. That year our winegrowers, pioneering the festive wines new to the Alsatian vineyards, chose a name that would underscore their passion and drive. Having climbed its way up to first place among Alsatian vineyard brands, in 2017 Wolfberger is celebrating its 115th anniversary, continuing to dazzle to the four corners of the earth.
