One of the oldest girls’ schools in the UK, Woldingham provides an outstanding education for boarding and day students aged 11-18. Set in a beautiful 600 acre site. Our empowered learning approach and values-led ethos develops courageous, confident and compassionate young women. A vibrant new Sixth Form Centre and Library opened in autumn 2024 and our dedicated well-being centre, The Hub opened in September 2025. In a safe and peaceful rural location, Woldingham has excellent transport links from Surrey, Kent, Sussex and London as well as from overseas. A short drive from both Gatwick and Heathrow airports, the school is only 25 minutes from London’s Clapham Junction with an exit from Woldingham station into the school grounds. Founded in 1842, Woldingham is a Catholic school and part of the global Sacred Heart network, welcoming girls of all faiths and none. The school's ethos is encapsulated in the five Sacred Heart goals; faith, intellect, personal growth, social awareness and community. The school celebrates its 185th anniversary in 2027. Woldingham is a member of the Sacred Heart network of 153 schools in 41 countries. In 2022 Woldingham won an Independent School of the Year Award.
