Wizard Lizard LLC is a software development company that was launched in October 2006 and is located in Costa Mesa, California. Wizard Lizard’s premier product is EZBuy, an e-signature point of sale software that allows an insurance agent, broker or carrier to immediately gather signatures from a customer via the internet that are needed to start insurance coverage. Unlike other e-signature processes, EZBuy can collect the down payment along with the signatures so that the sale can be finalized on the spot and without delays. EZBuy was originally conceived by the founders, Kelly Turton and Steve Triano, when they worked together at Freeway Insurance Services, Inc. - a large, successful auto insurance retail brokerage with multiple offices throughout California and $40 million in annual auto insurance premium sales. Mr. Turton was the founder and owner of Freeway and Mr. Triano was the CTO. Although originally conceived as proprietary software, it became clear that EZBuy’s potential was far greater than what Freeway could deliver. Mr. Turton sold Freeway Insurance Services, Inc. in October, 2006 and was joined by Mr. Triano to start Wizard Lizard LLC to focus on making EZBuy available to the insurance retail sector and buying public. Mr. Turton has over 28 years of retail and wholesale insurance experience and Mr. Triano has over 23 years of software development experience with 10 years experience developing insurance products in a start up environment.
