WITSU is a democratic organisation run by students, for students. Decision making within the union takes place on various levels, including: Referendum General Meetings WITSU Council WITSU Executive How Does The Student Body Have It's Say? Class Rep Council CRC determines the policy of WITSU and mandate the WITSU Executive, subject to the constitution and to the decisions of the General Meeting and referenda. WITSU Council shall consist of the WITSU Executive and the elected representatives of each registered class in the Institute. The quorum shall be 20% of the elected members of WITSU Council. The Executive They are responsible for: The initiation and development of WITSU policy. Carrying out the decisions of the General Meeting, Class Representative Council and referenda. Formal appointment of staff. Undertake the functions that may be required of them by the WITSU President. The WITSU Exec comprises of: The WITSU President. The WITSU Vice President / Education. The WITSU Vice President / Welfare. Communications Officer. Entertainment Officer. Mature Student Officer. Postgraduate Student Officer. International Student Officer. First Year Rep. School Convenors from each school of the Institute.
