Wise Payment Systems Inc. was founded in 1998 by William Wise IV, who is currently President of the Company. WPS, Inc. has been an authorized Independent Sales Office of Retriever since it's inception. Retriever Payment Systems, located in Northwest Houston, has been a leader in the merchant bank card processing industry since 1986. As a provider of service, support, and proprietary terminal software applications, Retriever has experienced phenomenal growth through direct sales. In 2005 alone, Retriever's merchant transaction volume exceeded 8 billion. From the beginning, Retriever worked closely with the First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), one of the oldest chartered banks in existence, who provided the conduit for the processed credit card funds. In November 1993, FNBO purchased Retriever Payment Systems outright, making Retriever a wholly owned subsidiary. Through this partnership, Retriever gained access to vital industry resources, allowing for substantial expansion throughout the company. Retriever's alliance with First National Bank of Omaha strengthened it's ability to offer exceptional service and viable solutions to our 3,000 sales representatives and nearly 100,000 merchants; an accomplishment that has been key to Retriever's success.
