The Wisconsin Wilderness was established in 2010, as a Jr A Tier II hockey club, playing in the Canadian Junior Hockey League. We are based out of Spooner, Wisconsin and play out of the NW Sports Complex. We are a USA Hockey and Hockey Canada registered hockey club. We play in the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL). Our league is made up of three American teams,(Wisconsin, Duluth, and Iron Range), and four Canadian teams (Thunder Bay, FT. Frances, Dryden, Sioux Lookout). We all play for the national title of Canada, the Royal Bank Cup. We are a non-tuition based team and are host to players all over the United States, and Canada. In our inaugural season we won the regular season championship and the playoff championship, Bill Salonen Cup.
