WintWire enjoys a heritage of over 160 years continuous wire production from it’s site in Oxspring near Sheffield. Manufacturing wire to each individual customers own requirements has and always will be our key objective. As a result we have vast knowledge and capability to produce wire in many different forms from mild, carbon alloy, and stainless steel, through to non-ferrous metals. Wintwire manufacture speciality wire in round and profile to diverse markets throughout the world putting quality and service as our top priorities. Quality is at the forefront of everything that Wintwire manufacture. All products can be supplied with chemical and mechanical test results on request, and are fully traceable to quality approved raw material suppliers. Presentation and preservation are important on wire travelling around the world, and great attention to detail is given to customer specific packaging requirements. Here at Wintwire our in house manufacturing capabilities for round wire are 0.30 mm to 12.00 mm in a variety of packaging’s .We manufacture a range of materials including mild steel/ carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals- brass and copper to name a few. A vast range of profiles from simple commercial shapes to complex customer specific requirements, are manufactured on rolling and drawing machinery designed specifically for the purpose, and supplied in coils on spools or cut lengths. Profiles are produced from carbon alloy and stainless steels, copper alloys and most other malleable metals. Varying in size and shape profiles can reduce the costs of machining operations, saving on time and waste material. Wintwire has all the in-house capabilities to take a profile from design through to manufacture.
