Don Winstead is the principal and founder of Winstead Consulting. Don has over 30 years of experience in state and federal service. He began as a front-line caseworker and was, most recently, Deputy Secretary of the Florida Department of Children and Families. Don also served as Special Advisor to the Governor for the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. From 2001 to 2005, Don served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Human Services Policy at the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services. He served as a senior policy advisor to Secretary Tommy Thompson.
