After being mentioned in books the first time in 1656, nowadays Christian, Renate and Günter are continuing the wine legacy of family Nastl. Langenlois, home to family Nastl, is Austrias biggest wine-growing town and situated in the heart of the romantic Kamp valley in Lower Austria. What would wine be good for, if you can’t enjoy it properly? That’s why, since generations, we are striving to offer the perfect place to enjoy Nastl wines. The focal point of this pleasure is the NastlHeuriger. Either inside, under the huge old wooden press, or outside, sitting in the shade of the walnut tree. Those are the perfect places to taste and enjoy Nastl wines without ruffle or rush. The perfect addition to this surrounding is coming from Renate Nastl, who is serving chosen and regional delicacies from her kitchen. Also, if the “Heuriger” is not open at the moment, family Nastl is offering to be your host. Günter and Christian are the men in charge of the vineyards in the best sites around Langenlois. The sustainable approach to the available ressources, was and will always be a permanent feature of all working steps. Sonorous vineyards sites as Steinmassl, Kittmannsberg, Spiegel or Liss are the foundation of all wines. For lovers of fruity and fresh wines, the“VelKam” line is the perfect choice. The next stage in the pyramid systems are typical Veltliners and Rieslings from Kamp valley, labelled as village wines. Up to the very powerful “Gigant” line originating from single-vineyards, made for lovers of extraordinary and powerful wines. None of these wines would have their incomparable taste without the exceptional soils in and around Langenlois. Of course we are working sustainable in all our processes – since 2016 this is also certified by the Austrian Winegrowers’ Association with the Seal of Quality “Sustainable Austria”.
