The Chapel Down winery, based in the picturesque market town of Tenterden in Kent, is open to the public and welcomes over 60,000 visitors each year. Chapel Down offers guided tours of the vineyards and winery together with tutored wine tastings and wider experience days. The winery boasts excellent visitor facilities, including a two AA Rosette and Michelin Bib Gourmet restaurant and shop stocking high-quality English produce.

Setting out to forge a new path in wine retailing, Rude Wines was founded in May 2013. Over the following six years, its ethos of bringing the everyday wine drinker a great range of wines at honest prices earned it a loyal following. Despite the best efforts of its owner, board, and staff, Rude's approach was perhaps ahead of its time, and at the end of 2019, the difficult decision to close the business was taken.
