WINDTOWN Information

WINDTOWN was founded in the Netherlands in 2001 as a kitesurfing school, built from a passion for wind, water, travel and community. In the early years, WINDTOWN also launched the well-known KITECHICKS events, helping inspire and connect a new generation of female kiters. What started on the Dutch coastline soon expanded internationally. In 2004, WINDTOWN opened a location in Brazil, creating a unique beachfront destination in Cumbuco where kitesurfing, hospitality and laid-back tropical living come together. In 2012, WINDTOWN continued its journey with another destination in South Africa. Today, WINDTOWN is more than kite destinations, accommodations, kite centers or events. It is a lifestyle brand built around freedom, adventure and connection. From our premisses in Brazil and South Africa to WINDTOWN Netherlands, we continue to organize kitesurf holidays, instructions, events and experiences for people who feel at home wherever there is wind and water. It’s key to provide a positive work climate for the Windtown team and to gain commitment. We carry out our activities in an honest way to get a fair return on investment for anyone involved. The company is women led (all management roles are take by women) and 100% of staff (~60 employees total) is local.
