Hillside is a private Christian school that fosters future innovators through a project-based learning approach emphasizing academics, problem solving, creativity, social skills, faith and character development. We provide our students with the core academic skills to prepare them for the next level using the philosophy that one size does not fit all. Our play-based preschool program with targeted learning objectives gives students the start they need; our elementary then builds on this foundation by engaging students in hands-on learning so that by middle school our students are focusing on real-life application of the knowledge and skills they have learned. We offer a variety of specialized programs consisting of classes in fine art, foreign language, creative movement, music, as well as a curriculum focused on interdisciplinary, hands-on learning. Additionally, Hillside Academy offers specialized learning programs for children with dyslexia and language difficulties. The Hillside Academy student will be encouraged to become global citizens, through community service projects, our annual giving market and with stewardship programs. We strive to make our classrooms safe places where students can accept their mistakes and talk freely about their ideas.

At Wisdom Academy we practice the principle, "Begin with the end in mind. Consequently, we envision our students as adults who are lifelong learners; people who know deeply what they want and have the inner resources to pursue their goals; leaders who not only want to contribute to the world around them, but who have the skills they need to do so in exceptional ways. That is why we have decided to use Dr. Maria Montessori's approach to teaching young children. We feel it is aligned with our goals. We believe that knowledge of the world and religion are compatible, more like a mesh network, and therefore, we make no artificial distinction between secular and sacred knowledge. This belief guides the way we have designed our curriculum for primary education. When we teach math, science, language, and other subjects, we are teaching students about Allah's creation. Students thus grow not to see religion and Allah as a separate part of their lives, but as a way of looking at the world that correlates everything in the universe.
