Wind Hughes is author of her new book - Life is the Ceremony: How We Live It is the Ritual - The Journey Of A Feminine Shaman (Outskirts Press), and the award winning book - Daughters of the Moon, Sisters of the Sun (New Society Publishers - with Linda Wolf). Wind has also authored the children's books Dragon's Beach (World Sangha Publishing - with Christopher Love), Skyler and the Coyote's Song, and other CD's, & DVD's. Wind created, facilitated, & produced the documentary film: An Island of Women - an intergenerational, multicultural, ritual gathering of 64 women between the ages of 20 & 80. Wind has appeared extensively on radio around the world, including NPR's New Dimensions Radio. For over 30 years Wind has been a licensed Individual, Marriage & Family Therapist, Life Coach and Reiki Master. She is a minister and previously was a licensed Massage Therapist. Her experience with Reiki and energy work, along with her licensing as a massage therapist, were both significant in helping to create the foundation of her integrative approach to her work. Though she is a licensed therapist in the states of New Mexico and Washington, she currently works exclusively as a life/wellness coach - Highest Good Coaching™ assisting people in discovering their ability to live and create from their fullest potential. Her decades as a psychotherapist provided her the opportunity to cultivate, in her life and work, sincere heartfelt compassion, and a deep understanding of human nature - which now enables her to quickly, and effectively, support clients and students in achieving their life and wellness goals. Wind travels widely leading workshops and presentations, and is a passionate and dynamic presenter. When the nature of her workshops allows Wind captivates audiences with her singing and drumming, to facilitate an experience she calls - TRANCE-FORMATIONAL.
