Wilson laboratories, Inc., was founded by Randall Wilson in July 1973 to design and manufacture test equipment for tape and disk drive products used in computer operating systems. Wilson Labs has produced and delivered over ten thousand units worldwide to all major disk drive manufacturers and system integrators. In 1993, Wilson Labs product lines changed from testing equipment to replacement disk drives for older technology systems. The bridge controller came about because disk drives became more reliable and could self-test and self-correct for internal errors. Using our product interface knowledge, Wilson Labs developed products that provided interfaces to match the existing older technology disk drives with new SCSI disk drives as the storage. This process provided a newer and more reliable means to support problems that were caused by disk drives no longer in production and spare parts no longer available to repair them. Several hundred replacement units have been sold worldwide. Wilson Labs is now adding a new product line based on using solid state memory as the storage media. This eliminates the mechanical failures that are inherent in moving head disk drives. Because of the reliability of solid state memory, the products are sold with a two year warranty. With this new product line, Wilson Labs will continue it's long tradition of providing exceptional products and customer support.
