St Stithians College is a prominent and transformative South African school – one that inspires excellence and makes a world of difference. St Stithians offers a synergy model of boys’ and girls’ schooling on one campus. Founded in 1953, this city school set on a 105-hectare estate has retained a country atmosphere and yet remains at the cutting edge of educational thinking in South Africa.
Our values framework is defined by the Honour Code and Saints Character. Our Honour Code inspires us to Honour God, Honour others and Honour self. Our Saints Character is expressed through the opportunities created for our students and staff to "Know Yourself, Be Yourself, and Make Your Contribution".
Our staff are critical to ensuring we can inspire excellence and make a world of difference to all the students in our care. St Stithians prides itself on investing significantly in professional development opportunities for all staff and due to our employee value proposition we have the ability to attract top quality educationalists. Each day, 2 600 students attend the co-educational Junior Prep, the Boys’ Prep, the Girl’s Prep, the Girls’ College and the Boys’ College – making us the largest independent school in Southern Africa.

In addition, St Stithians employs over 50 teacher interns – a contribution to creating the next generation of teachers in South Africa.
