Air, water, food, shelter, income: nature sustains every aspect of our lives. That's why protecting and conserving nature isn't just a matter of common sense. It's the smartest investment we can make.
Since our founding in 1951, The Nature Conservancy has harnessed the power of nature to help solve our planet’s most challenging problems. And while the stakes are high, so is our resolve: to create a world where everyone thrives alongside nature for generations to come.
We do this by working hand in hand with communities around the world. By committing to a science-based, non-partisan approach that’s stood the test of time. And by bringing people together, from all walks of life, to find common ground in nature.
Community Roots Charter School is a rigorous learning community where education is embedded in meaningful real-world contexts and children are deliberately taught to see the connections between school and the world. Community Roots students will meet or exceed the New York State standards and be prepared to excel in the 21st century by becoming independent thinkers and working productively within a diverse group of learners. At Community Roots, students learn to combine curiosity with appropriate application, which leads to deep understanding and the confidence to become who they want to be.
Earth Guardians is a global climate-justice nonprofit training people under 30 to lead catalytic climate solutions in their communities and for the planet.
Around the world, young people are turning fear into focus and concern into concrete action.
Earth Guardians is where that leadership starts and grows. We mentor and connect young leaders, resource their projects, and amplify their voices so they can protect land, water, culture, and future generations.
Today, we support 120 youth-led Crews across 42 countries, serving 1,200+ young leaders each year. Together they restore ecosystems, protect water, regenerate food systems, and strengthen community wellbeing. In 2025 alone, Crews planted 79,900 trees, removed 15,000+ kg of trash from rivers, beaches, wetlands, and communities, led 63 funded environmental projects in 31 countries, and reached more than 20,000 community members.
Our majority BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ Speakers Bureau brings climate justice, storytelling, and leadership tools to classrooms, conferences, and legislatures, while thousands more access free Earth Guardians trainings on biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, climate policy, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge.
Behind every number is a young person learning that their voice, culture, and land matter and that their leadership can transform lives.
Ways to get involved:
1) Donate to fuel youth-led climate solutions.
2) Start, join, or help a young person start an Earth Guardians Crew.
3) Book an Earth Guardians speaker or training for your school, company, or event.
