sass & bide is an australian designer label, dedicated to the strong, the obscure & the beautiful.
For almost two decades, sass & bide has been at the forefront of women’s designer fashion. Established in 1999 by best friends Sarah-Jane Clarke and Heidi Middleton who began selling customised denim on London’s Portobello Road, our brand evolved from an underground phenomenon to a cult label of international fame.
It’s eclectic, bold, edgy and feminine with a distinctively modern approach and an idiosyncratically Australian touch. Evolving from a cult favourite to an international design sensation, sass & bide has thrived from the eclectic spirit of its designers and their defined vision.
We have a strong global presence, selling ready-to-wear, denim, leather, accoutrement and exclusive gallery pieces in over 20 countries through premium boutiques and exclusive department stores.
A truly inspiring place to work; whether in store, or at our head office in Alexandria, our team is made up of bright, creative and innovative people who are dedicated to the development of our brand. Ideas are rewarded, internal growth is encouraged, and we support our staff in developing skills, experience and confidence.
We are always on the lookout for talented and like-minded beings who share the same values as us.

Fleur Wood is the creative force behind her self-named label. At twenty-three she took two years out and lived in a nunnery in the Indian Himalayas designing ranges for a culture-preservation project of the Tibetan exile government. Upon returning to Sydney she launched her own label, which - call it good karma - has enjoyed exponential growth.
Fleur Wood includes a range of homewares, clothing and accessories made from luxurious fabrics utilising both classic and modern designs. Beautiful and delicate with a contemporary bohemian edge, the ever evolving style epitomises individuality and self expression. 'Every item in our collections is a little piece of luxury,' explains Fleur.
The future for its label is much like her aesthetic itself …an evocation of an inspiring past while continually evolving and moving forward.
