William Willigerod P.C Information

William Willigerod, P.C. was established in 1975. We provide a full spectrum of architectural design services for residential and commercial projects on the islands of St John, St Thomas and St Croix, in the United States Virgin Islands. After attending the School of Architecture at the Pennsylvania State University in the 1960's, Bill Willigerod apprenticed ten years as a Project Manager for a twenty person architectural firm located in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He has eight years of experience managing his own general construction company and is familiar with all aspects of the construction industry. In 1983 Bill formed the Partnership of Willigerod & MacAvoy Architects P.C., located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and managed this seven person architectural firm for seventeen years prior to moving to the U.S. Virgin Islands in 2000 where he is currently practicing architecture. Bill is a Registered Architect in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Maryland. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Rotary Club of St John, and is a member of the American Institute of Architects , and the Construction Specifications Institute. He is a former member of the International Facility Management Association, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg, and the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce. He is past Chairman of the Hampden Township Planning Commission and a former Director of the Board of the Pennsylvania Builders Association. His expertise includes designing barrier-free environments for disabled individuals and he formerly served as Architectural Consultant to the Elizabethtown Children's Hospital and the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Virgin Islands Resource Center for the Disabled. Bill recently co-founded and serves on the Board of the "Island Green Builders Association" a group dedicated to preserving the environment in the United States Virgin Islands.
