  Bachelor's degree (I stayed busy playing volleyball and flying hang gliders, modifying them, working on new designs and test flying prototype and production gliders for the company that supported our work with materials. My last couple of years were less active in these areas, as I worked full and part time for Swift Air Lines as an A&P Mechanic nights and for the college while in school.)

  Associate of Arts (A.A.) (I was mainly involved with flying radio control gliders and flying and building hang gliders. The sport of hang gliding was in its infancy, and we were trying to sort out and correct the root causes of accidents in the sport. This was one of my primary motivators while pursuing studies in Aeronautical Engineering, and many of the lessons we learned guide me to this day.)

• Northrop Institute of Technology

  FAA License (Radio control gliders and surviving the transition from basic hang gliding lessons to higher hills kept me occupied when not in A&P classes 8 hours a day or studying. I studied Aircraft Maintenance because I considered it a necessary foundation to become an Aero Engineer, because I was interested in maintaining, modifying and building aircraft, and as a vocation to get me through college when my financial support ran out.)
