Wildland Detection Systems LLC Information

Wildland Detection Systems (WDS) technology is a flexible, robust, and precise method of detecting wildfires at a significant distance and at the initial stages of a wildfire development. The system is a mature technology that has been enhanced through learning from 60 commercially deployed sites and extensive ongoing experimentation. The WDS system scans up to a 360º azimuth at a range of 0 to m10 km, dwells at each of 32 stop points for 10 seconds and detects smoke from a wildfire in less than 5 minutes after ignition. The system will provide a remote operator with an audible and visual alarm, location of the fire and the ability to examine the fire in detail.
