Bread & Butter Bakery was established by Wendy Whitall in 1999. Her husband Wayne and daughters Katie and Hillary, have played an active role in the day to day operations of the Bakery. In 2009 Wendy celebrated her 10th successful year serving the Kingston Community. During this time, she has managed through a major expansion, extensive growth in demand and changes within the industry itself. Wendy and her staff have maintained the highest standards in provisioning the best quality of sweets and savouries to their customers, an accomplishment they take great pride in. Through it all she has managed to maintain it as a quaint family run and owned bakery. As an active participant in many activities that support the betterment of the community, Wendy ensures that Bread & Butter Bakery regularly supports Martha's Table and the Kingston Food Bank. Always game for a challenge, the staff readily participate in the many festivals that occur throughout the year. They have won the Kingston Chile Fest, (more than once) and received 1st place for their renowned Apple Pie at the XXXXXXX. The bakery was showcased in the LCBO Food and Drink magazine in the fall issue 20XX, receiving a rave review of their Pear/Apple/XXX Pie. In celebration and appreciation of their customers, warm and inviting seasonal decorating themes are added to make Holidays and Special Occasions more festive. Frequently throughout the year gourmet Designer Gift Basket draws are conducted. On these occasions one lucky customer takes home a beautifully prepared food themed basket, teaming with high quality cookware items and gourmet condiments offered in the bakery.
