Walk-in fireplaces, wide plank floors, and winder staircases add to the charm of this warm cozy bed and breakfast. A perfect getaway for travelers far and wide who come to the Brandywine Valley to explore its myriad treasures. Locals find the inn a perfect place to "hide out"​ from the usual stressors of everyday life. Leaving your cell phones and to do list at home, we do not tell anyone you're here. A wonderful place to celebrate weddings from 2 to 150, with smaller groups on the 1st floor of the inn and large groups tented in the 4 acres of gardens. Our gardens are planted with an assortment of perennials and annuals, including climbing roses on trellises, ornamental trees and shrubs. There's a reflecting pond and a smaller fish pond, as well as some melodic fountains scattered throughout the grounds, in addition to many enchanting little outdoor groupings of furniture. There are also still signs here and there of the Pennsbury Inn’s intriguing 300+ year history that we love to point out and there are an additional four acres of wooded grounds. Rehearsal dinners, bridal and baby showers, retirement dinners, engagement & graduation parties, retirement dinners, and many other catered events are held here.
