With two breathtaking sites, situated on beautiful Waiheke Island, just 35 minutes by ferry from downtown Auckland and stunning Rakanui Station, just 10 minutes south of Kaikōura, EcoZip Adventures offers 3km of state-of-the-art flying-fox ziplines, coupled perfectly with eco-immersive forest walks for nature lovers of all ages. EcoZip Adventures is a certified climate positive, award-winning adventure and eco-tourism operator. Conservation is at the heart of our business, so while riding our ziplines is undeniably huge fun, and something you can share with friends, family and colleagues, you can do it knowing that by zipping with us you’re directly contributing to the preservation and protection of beautiful, yet once threatened, pieces of NZ land and bush. Kaitiakitanga is the Māori term for guardianship and protection. It recognises that we’re merely nature’s custodians, or Kaitiaki, temporarily in charge of and bearing ultimate responsibility for how we pass on the land, air and seas to future generations. In 2012, we accepted the challenge of becoming Kaitiaki, pledging to care for, restore and rebalance the fragile ecology of our beautiful forests and landscapes. On Waiheke, complimentary transport is offered to and from many island locations, including the Matiatia ferry terminal, Oneroa Village and various vineyards and beaches, so guests can enjoy the full Waiheke experience. In Kaikōura, door-to-door transport, including awesome local commentary, is provided as part of the tour so guests can sit back and enjoy the views. We cater for school, sports, private and corporate groups at both sites and, at Waiheke, additionally offer indoor and outdoor conference facilities in both boardroom and cabaret style, alongside audio-visual amenities and catering, personally handled by a dedicated event manager.

In 1992, Adventure South NZ launched its first ever 4 day, guided mountain biking trip through the Rainbow Valley with one big red bus, a few bikes and some fiery determination. The bikes were loaded on top of the bus with a big green trunk to help hold all of the gear, with tents as our accommodation. 25 years later, we may have a few more buses than we did back then, and we've moved on from tents, but our passion for the outdoors remains just as strong. Adventure South NZ now boasts over 40 guided trips, a number that continues to grow. We now offer the largest range of cycling trips in New Zealand including NZ Cycle Trails, NZ Road Cycling and NZ Mountain Biking trips, as well as a unique and diverse range of NZ Hiking trips across the North and South Island. Our groups are small (between 4 to 14 people) to minimise our impact and maximise your experience out on the trails. From our experienced guides to the team at HQ, we are passionate about showing you the natural areas of New Zealand and introducing you to the limitless adventures on offer. Fergs Kayaks was born from the huge success Ian Ferguson achieved as a gold winning Olympic athlete. Ian wanted to provide a fun and safe kayaking experience for the first time paddler as well as supporting the performance kayaking athlete. Uniquely, Fergs has two waterfront locations in Auckland and Wellington. Both stores provide a large water rental fleet. For those who prefer land based activities there are rollerblades and touring bikes for hire. Fergs Kayaks has been operating since 1990 and was the pioneer of the hugely popular night kayaking trip to Rangitoto which continues today with the same enthusiasm. Our Wellington store boasts one of the largest indoor rock walls in New Zealand and caters for first time enthusiasts to alpine climbers. We have recently invested in 40 new routes to keep the climbing experience fresh. For those who have a competitive spirit and like the challenge of surf skiing we have a demo fleet of Epic surf skis in both stores.
