Alice Springs Desert Park is a biological park located at the base of the MacDonnell ranges, 7km from Alice Springs. A registered botanic garden dedicated to wildlife conservation and cultural education you can expect daily presentations including the impressive Nature Theatre Free-Flying Bird Show, dingos, wildflower gardens, nocturnal house, 8 aviaries and a lot of space to breathe and connect with the landscape. Nocturnal tours are a must when visiting the park. They run Monday, Wednesday and Fridays where you can take a guided walk under the desert starscape to spotlight wildlife such as Mala, (extinct in the wild) echidna, bilby and many other nocturnal species. There is a cafe and onsite caterers at the park and we offer 8 purpose-built event spaces for creating a memorable and bespoke outback experience or events.
