Widget Enterprises Information

The company that runs itself. Widget Enterprises is a consumer-goods operating company. We build brands and run them on Metis, our operating system, which is already in market. Six brands launch this year on top of it. The product is the small part of what you pay. Most of the price is the company around it: the people and software it takes to make and sell the thing. That is the cost we do not carry. Take it out, and everything moves. The same product reaches the consumer at roughly half the incumbent's price, and we still keep equal or better margin. We do this two ways. We incubate brands from zero, and we acquire makers and install the stack. They start at zero. We start ahead, and the gap only widens.
