WideTrial creates special clinical trials for large numbers of seriously ill patients who cannot take part in the research trials of new, pre-market medicines. These FDA-authorized clinical trials are called "Expanded Access" trials, commonly known as Expanded Access programs (EAPs). Development-stage drug companies (and device makers) partner with us for turn-key solutions: (1) providing pre-approval treatment access to meaningful numbers of doctors and patients, and (2) generating vast sets of secondary clinical data that may contribute to label claims, inform further research, and lead to real-world insights to the drug's value in the targeted population. Our goal is to make sure every patient has treatment options, not just the few who meet the inclusion criteria of research studies. We meet that goal by making large-size Expanded Access programs feasible for all parties involved.
