Wideo is an animated video creation platform that allows teams, organizations, and academic institutions to affordably create quality online videos and presentations in a simple and intuitive way without previous video training. Wideo was founded in 2012 by Agu De Marco and Agus Esperon. Faced with creating an explainer video for another business venture on a minimal budget and having little video editing experience, De Marco discovered an issue: people either have to pay professionals thousands of dollars for video creation, or they have to learn how to use complicated and time-consuming software. Wideo is one of the first startups from Argentina to be accepted into the 500 Startups Accelerator. Wideo participated in the TechCrunch Disrupt Event of 2012 and has received numerous awards and achievement recognitions from Wayra, Red Innova, BA Gobierno de la Ciudad, and Open App. 2.
